AS THE WILTSHIRE CAVY CLUB IS NOW 10YRS OLD, THE COMMITEE HAD A MEETING AND DECIDED WE WOULD AWARD MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN MEMBERS AND STILL ARE SINCE WE STARTED BACK IN 1997 HONOURY MEMBERSHIP FOR LIFE.

Julia has been in the Cavy fancy for about 30 years now, starting of with Peruvians and over the years keeping Agoutis, Texels. Alpaca's and Satin Agouti's.
Julia's breeds at present is all of the above apart from the Texels.
Julia is well respected in the Cavy Fancy by those who know her, Julia is always very friendly, approachable and is always willing to give advice on rearing Cavies aswell as showing them.
From a personal point i have known Julia for 15 years, a 12 year old shy lad going to her home to pick up my first pair of Peruvian's which started me in the Cavy fancy,being shy i was too nervous to ask her questions but i think she picked up on that and explained to me how to look after them and how to groom them and wrap them etc, i have a lot of admiration for Julia that is why to me Julia is my mentor and alway will be.
After a break in the fancy i decided to come back, again going to Julia for some peruvian's to start my new stud.
Julia is a very active commitee member of the Bristol Cavy Club she is the Clubs Treasurer, Raffle organizer aswell as general helping out of running the show's.
Also it does not matter what show Julia is at, wether it is a Wilts Show or a Wyevern Show if Julia can lend a hand she will.

MR CHARLIE BLANDFORD
Charlie has kept Cavies since 1964, over the years Charlie has kept mainly selfs in Pink eyed White, Pink eyed Goldens, Blacks, Creams, Pink eyed White Crested's, Cream Crested. aswell as Abby's and Agouti's.
His main breeds at present are Pink Eyed White's and Pink Eyed Goldens.
Charlie is also well respected in the Cavy Fancy he is very friendly always saying Hi to everyone and is always willing to have a chat with people about anything from Cavy related topics to what was on TV last night to Charlie it doesn't matter he enjoys the socialising, at shows there is never a shortage of people saying hello to him either and asking him if he is alright.
He is also someone that if he can help out at show's he will, Charlie can be found at different shows wether it is Bristol, Wyevern or Wiltshire helping out by taking new memberships and renewals.
Charlie is also a Wilsthire Cavy Club Commitee member
For those who know Charlie and Julia, Honoury membership is well deserved and it also reflects their dedication to the Cavy fancy
